Pearl is honestly the best job I have ever had, where I have been able to create long lasting relationships with my coworkers. Previous roles taught me to be compassionate & empathetic, which is key in using your soft skills while talking to consumers that are upset. Most of the time when someone calls into a customer service line, they have an issue that needs to be resolved or just have questions. I started my professional career in the Health Services field with the University of Kentucky hospital assisting physicians, nurses, and staff in an administrative and clinical role. I then accepted a position as a Quality Control Technician at Hitachi where I developed the skills for managing integral safety guidelines while staying on top of changing customer expectations. Prior to joining Pearl Interactive Network, I worked in technical support and customer service assisting with billing inquiries, internet support, and helping troubleshoot customer issues. When I found out about Pearl, the company values and Merry’s mission spoke to me. Working for Pearl feels more like a family than a job and it’s a great environment to be in. I started with Pearl under the CA COVID program in 2021 for two months. The project was short term, but in that time, I realized how great Pearl was, which led me to apply to the VACCN Customer Service role. Already having that Customer Service background and call center experience, as well as my previous experience with Project Management and being a Special Educator, I thought it would be a good fit.
