Tell us what brought you to Pearl and what skills you acquired in each of your previous roles that helped get you to your current role?
I started my professional career in the Health Services field with the University of Kentucky hospital assisting physicians, nurses, and staff in an administrative and clinical role. I then accepted a position as a Quality Control Technician at Hitachi where I developed the skills for managing integral safety guidelines while staying on top of changing customer expectations. In my most recent healthcare role, I worked with Medicare A, B and D; providing subject matter expert services as well as assisting the management team.
What are your career goals?
I would enjoy working toward a SME (Subject Matter Expert) or Supervisor type of role once again.
What has been the biggest lesson you have learned in your job?
Always treat people the way I would like to be treated, everyone deserves grace and should always be willing to be honest and have a good work ethic.
What is your advice for someone who may be interested in pursuing a role in your current field?
Learn something new every day and never be so rigid or set in your ways that you cannot be taught a new way to approach something you have done differently in the past.
What is a Fun Fact that many of your coworkers may not know?
I have a huge spider on my car’s dashboard named Richard that was given to me by my grandfather, and it amuses everyone that sees it.
Do you have a special talent or any hobbies?
I love playing games with my family and our friends, but one of my favorite roles is being a mom to my three girls!
