Tell us what brought you to Pearl and what skills you acquired in each of your previous roles that helped get you to your current role?
I have always loved helping others, so when I came across the posting for Pearl, I knew that it was the perfect opportunity for me. From my previous roles, I learned how to actively listen and in turn, be able to provide the information needed to accomplish resolving the needs of the customer as well as my own work goals.
What are your career goals?
One of my aspirations is to develop a local network of assistance for children who seek opportunities to develop their artistic skills. As an Artist I would like to share my skills with those who are looking to expand theirs, and to provide the support they need to accomplish their goals.
What has been the biggest lesson you have learned in your job?
The biggest obstacle I have learned to overcome was to be multitask. I had a fear of not being able to do several things at once, like listen to a customer, search for the answer to their question, and note an account, all at the same time. With practice, I have been able to overcome that fear and have been using this skill in my everyday lifestyle to finish more life goals.
What is your advice for someone who may be interested in pursuing a role in your current field?
Always focus on Quality over quantity. Take your time to do it right instead of doing it quickly and risking a mistake.
What is a Fun Fact that many of your coworkers may not know?
Adding a different scent at your workstation, like perfume or a candle, helps you feel more relaxed and helps the time goes faster.
Do you have a special talent or any hobbies?
I enjoy drawing landscapes of my travel destinations.
