Executive Assistant’s (jokingly) known as the behind the scenes “Calendar Tetris Masters” and “Professional Cat Wranglers”. Here at Pearl, I’m blessed to have those roles (and more) in supporting Merry and any department that needs an extra hand in fulfilling our goal to serve others. Day to day, I manage meeting coordination, travel, presentations, press releases, any of Merry’s projects, and I support her with many of the amazing foundations she and Pearl support. I joined Pearl in December of 2019 for the Census project as a Trainer. I rejoined Pearl in February 2021 as Job Coach and part of the Learning and Development team. I strive to help others gain knowledge through many factors including the Introduction to Pearl program, monthly workshops, trainings, job coaching and goal setting. I joined Pearl because there was an opportunity to work in the field I desired! I returned because I feel like Pearl has been a family even when we are spread out across the nation.

Prior to joining the team, on site in KY, I was a waitress and working food service really helped me learn how to deal with escalated customers. In addition to waitressing, I was also a nurse, and this helped me appreciate any job that doesn’t include body fluids lol. Pearl is honestly the best job I have ever had, where I have been able to create long lasting relationships with my coworkers. Previous roles taught me to be compassionate & empathetic, which is key in using your soft skills while talking to consumers that are upset. Most of the time when someone calls into a customer service line, they have an issue that needs to be resolved or just have questions. I started my professional career in the Health Services field with the University of Kentucky hospital assisting physicians, nurses, and staff in an administrative and clinical role. I then accepted a position as a Quality Control Technician at Hitachi where I developed the skills for managing integral safety guidelines while staying on top of changing customer expectations.
