Current job title: Operations Manager – Military OneSource and OPM
Tell us what brought you to Pearl and what skills did you picked up in each of your previous roles that helped get you to your current role? I have been with Pearl since March 28, 2022. What brought me to Pearl was the culture. Throughout the interview process, everyone talked about how great it was to work at Pearl, and I could not agree more.
What are your career goals? My future job aspirations are to become a Senior Operations Manager, then Project Manager.
What is your advice for someone that may be interested in pursuing a role in your current field? My advice to someone starting off or someone who wants to grow their career would be to take it one step at a time. Once you feel comfortable with in your new role, start asking for additional duties and responsibilities. Take full advantage of the LMS classes that are offered and sign up for developmental workshops and personal coaching. Also, do not hesitate to ask for feedback.
What is a Fun Fact that many of your coworkers may not know? A fun fact about me that you may not know, is I survived a plane crash! Due to a storm, there was rain and wet conditions on the runway, the plane went off the tarmac and into a ditch. We had to be rescued by the Fire Department, the hazmat team had to be on site, and it ended up being a two, almost, three-hour ordeal. As we were getting off the plane, one of my co-workers overheard the Fire Chief say; “if they were going any faster, it would have caused the fuel to ignite, and plane would have exploded.”
Do you have a special talent or any hobbies? My only hobby is being a beach bum on the weekends.
