Current job title: Appointment Scheduling Team Lead -Optum VACCN
Tell us what brought you to Pearl and what skills did you picked up in each of your previous roles that helped get you to your current role? When I found Pearl Interactive Network, Inc. I was looking for a job that was remote and in the medical/customer service field. I was previously enrolled in college where they failed to meet the state’s requirements to become certified as a Surgical Technologist. We were forced to withdrawal, and it was devastating. I fell in love with everything about Pearl and the project. My husband is a Veteran so finding this job had meaning for me. I have previous experience in customer service representative and Team Lead roles, but those previous contracts were temporary and had ended.
What are your career goals? My next career goal is to become a Supervisor. My job aspirations are to become a better mentor and to build stronger connections. I believe this will help me be an amazing Supervisor to my team.
What has been the biggest lesson you have learned or the biggest obstacle you have overcome in your job? I have learned the importance of details and how to best deliver feedback. I have always been a detailed person, but when it comes to providing instruction to someone else, you learn a different way to communicate the details and provide examples.
What is your advice for someone that may be interested in pursuing a role in your current field?
- Venture out of your comfort zone.
- Change is inevitable.

What is a Fun Fact that many of your coworkers may not know? I am one of the Team Leads on the Return Referral Team on the VACCN Project!
Do you have a special talent or any hobbies? I once owned an online, custom clothing and apparel store. I still enjoy making custom items, online gaming on Xbox, and listening to Kara Loewentheil and Cardiology podcasts.
