Recognition of Excellence – LeShunn McLeod

The US 2nd Burgage Montgomery, AL, Recruiting Army Battalion recently participated in an Organization Day followed by a formal Change of Command ceremony. What exactly are these events you might ask? An Organization Day allows for members of the battalion and their families to enjoy a fun filled family day. The event allowed battalion members a chance to meet their new Commanding Officer and to say goodbye to their former Commanding Officer before the official Change of Command. The Change of Command ceremony represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility for a unit from one Commanding Officer to another.

LeShunn is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for the Military and Family Life Counseling Program (MFLC) at Maxwell Gunter AFB located in Montgomery, AL. LeShunn has worked for the program for over 3 years and recently received a Recognition of Excellence from the client for providing information and resources as well as her support for the soldiers and families that were present at the Organization Day event.

LeShunn was presented with a plaque and commentative pin for her support, as shown below. This recognition signifies that the Parent and Child communication efforts provided to military service members and their spouses through the MFLC program are of great value. Through her efforts she has increased contacts for the MFLC program.

We are honored to have LeShunn as part of the Pearl Family and cannot thank her enough for her dedication and service to the military members and families that she supports through this role.
