In conjunction with Customer Service Week, our Pumpkin Creation Contest ran from October 7th through Halloween, bringing a dash of festive creativity to the season. We had 21 employees showcase their artistry by submitting unique pumpkin creations, with designs that ranged from spooky to silly and everything in between. The company came together in the spirit of fun and community, casting over 200 votes to select the winning entry. We’re delighted to announce that the winning creation, submitted by Jeanna Barnett – CCO – CSR, will receive a custom $25 SugarWish order. Thank you to everyone who voted and participated!

If you’re in the mood for some thrills, make sure to check them out for a taste of the eerie tales shared by your colleagues.

We rounded off the month with our Costume Contest, which spanned from October 28th to the 31st, giving everyone a chance to showcase their most creative and spooky attire. We were thrilled with the turnout and the impressive costumes submitted, making it a tough call to select the top entries. October CCO Recap – Customer Service Week, Semi-Annual Blood Drive, and OEP Season Games Begin!

October was an exciting month for the team onsite at the CCO in Winchester, KY, with a variety of events that brought employees together and celebrated our hard work. Kicking off the month was Customer Service Week, which ran alongside our virtual celebrations and was focused on recognizing the dedication of our customer service team. (If you haven’t read the virtual recap above, make sure to check it out for more details!) Mid-month, we hosted our Semi-Annual Blood Drive, a meaningful way for our team to give back to the community. And to round out October, we launched this season’s OEP (Open Enrollment Period) with a fun series of games and prizes that brought everyone into the holiday spirit a bit early.

The Semi-Annual Blood Drive took place in the third week of October and saw an impressive turnout. Thanks to the generosity of our employees, we collected 27 units of blood, which will go toward supporting local healthcare facilities and patients in need. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power we have to make a positive difference, even with something as simple as rolling up our sleeves. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success.

We closed out the month with the OEP season kick-off, where the team came together for games and friendly competition. The first round, “That’s A Wrap,” had our CSRs tackling the hilarious challenge of unwrapping a piece of candy while wearing oven mitts—adding a unique twist that made for plenty of laughs! Alongside the games, we set up a punch board filled with prizes, giving everyone a chance to go home with something extra. This event brought energy and camaraderie to the CCO, and we can’t wait for more rounds of fun as OEP continues!

November Awareness & Celebrations: Embracing Growth, Gratitude, and Giving Back!

November is in full swing, and with it comes a season packed with opportunities to reflect, recognize, and celebrate. This month, we’re embracing National Career Development Month, an ideal time to check in on our career goals and to learn what programs Pearl has to offer. Whether you’re pursuing new milestones or learning something fresh, November encourages us to invest in our growth and development. It’s also National Gratitude Month, a chance to focus on appreciation and positivity, something we can all use to boost morale. And for men’s health awareness, Movember has been in full effect, raising support for men’s physical and mental wellness. Additionally, as Military Family Month, we honor the unique resilience of military families, who play a vital role in supporting our nation.

This November has already highlighted some important days that inspire reflection and appreciation. All Saints’ Day on November 1 offered a time to remember those who’ve made a positive impact on our lives, and with the end of Daylight-Saving Time on November 3, we gained a bit more light for our mornings. On November 5, Election Day reminded us of the importance of civic participation, and November 10 marked the proud celebration of the Marine Corps Birthday. Veterans Day on November 11 gave us the opportunity to honor those who have served with bravery and dedication.

Looking forward, we have a few more days to round out the month with friends and family. Thanksgiving on November 28 is a time to gather, enjoy a meal, and reflect on what we’re thankful for, followed by Black Friday’s kickoff to holiday shopping. The day after Thanksgiving, November 29, is Native American Heritage Day, a chance to recognize and honor the rich histories and contributions of Native American cultures. Be on the lookout for our Thankful Thursday recipe share, as we share favorite recipes submitted by you and your peers! In this edition of Positively Pearl, you’ll find more about each of these events, along with ideas on how to engage with one another as we celebrate this month of gratitude and growth.

National Gratitude Month. Reflect and Give Thanks

National Gratitude Month – Reflect and Give Thanks

November is National Gratitude Month, a time dedicated to reflecting on what we’re grateful for and showing appreciation to the people who make a difference in our lives. At Pearl Interactive Network, we believe that taking a moment to express gratitude has a ripple effect, brightening spirits and boosting positivity all around. Studies even show that gratitude can improve overall happiness, reduce stress, and strengthen relationships. So, let’s lean into this month with open hearts and an appreciation for those who make Pearl such a wonderful place to work!

Wondering how to show gratitude? It doesn’t take grand gestures; even small acts of kindness can leave a big impact. Start with a simple “thank you” to a teammate or manager who’s been there for you during a busy time or helped you with a tricky task. You could also surprise someone with an e-card or a thoughtful message sharing why you appreciate their support. For a more interactive approach, consider giving a shout-out during team meetings. Letting people know they are valued can foster a stronger, more connected work environment.

Let’s take it one step further this November by celebrating gratitude with Pearl Interactive Network’s very own “Thankful Thursdays!” All month long we will collect recipes shared by you and your coworkers. Every Thursday, we’ll share them with the team. Feel free to send your favorite recipes to the Employee Engagement Department to EmployeeEngagement@Pinsourcing.com and if you can, include a picture of the dish! As we all pause to recognize the positives around us, we’re not only strengthening our own sense of well-being but also reinforcing the supportive, caring culture that makes Pearl special.

2024 Thankful Thursdays! Send us your favorite thanksgiving recipes! The Holiday Season is RIGHT around the corner and that calls for all our annual traditions of gathering around a delicious meal with our friends and family! This year we are beginning a new tradition. Every Thursday leading up to Thanksgiving we will be sending out YOUR recipes in what we have deemed THANKFUL THURSDAYS!

Military Family

Military Family Month – Recognizing and Honoring Commitment

November is Military Family Month, a time to honor and recognize the strength, resilience, and dedication of military families. These families face unique challenges, such as frequent relocations, long separations, and the complexities of supporting loved ones in active duty. At Pearl Interactive Network, we acknowledge the sacrifices made by both service members and their families and are committed to supporting and celebrating the unique role they play in our communities and our nation. This month, we aim to bring awareness to the needs of military families and provide resources to help them navigate the challenges that come with their service.
To support military families within our Pearl community and beyond, we’ve gathered a range of resources available for those facing the distinctive demands of military life. The Military Family Advisory Network offers a comprehensive guide with information on everything from deployment resources to mental health services. The Military OneSource program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense, provides free, confidential support on topics like financial counseling, legal services, and educational assistance. For families dealing with frequent relocations, the U.S. Department of Defense offers the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission (MIC3) to help ease school transitions for children of military families.
Pearl Interactive Network encourages everyone to take a moment this November to show appreciation to military families within our company and community. Whether by reaching out to colleagues with loved ones in service, donating to organizations that support military families, or simply learning more about their experiences, there are many ways to honor their commitment and strength. This month, let’s remember that the resilience of military families plays a vital role in our national security and well-being, deserving recognition and gratitude. Together, we can create a supportive environment that honors their contributions year-round.

Thanksgiving Day

As Thanksgiving approaches, we at Pearl Interactive Network take a moment to reflect on the essence of this beloved holiday, celebrated across the United States on the fourth Thursday of November. Dating back to 1621, Thanksgiving originated when the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag people gathered for a feast to celebrate a bountiful harvest. It was a moment of unity and gratitude, set amidst the challenges of survival in a new land. The tradition was later formalized by President Abraham Lincoln, who proclaimed Thanksgiving a national holiday in 1863 as a time to come together in appreciation, even in times of hardship.

Today, Thanksgiving represents more than just a historical moment; it has evolved into a cherished time for families and friends to gather, reflect on their blessings, and share a meal. It’s a day centered on gratitude, connection, and traditions, whether it’s reuniting around the dinner table, watching the iconic parade, or cheering on a favorite football team. Thanksgiving highlights the value of togetherness, reminding us of the simple joys of being with loved ones and building memories that last a lifetime.

Here at Pearl, we recognize the importance of community and connection, values that Thanksgiving embodies so well.  We hope you all have been enjoying the company-wide recipe share with recipes sent in by your fellow co-workers being shared on each “Thankful Thursday” this month. As we celebrate this day, let us appreciate each member of our Pearl family and the meaningful contributions each brings to our shared mission. May this Thanksgiving be filled with warmth, gratitude, and the spirit of togetherness for all of us, whether you’re gathering with family or celebrating quietly at home. Happy Thanksgiving to our entire Pearl Interactive family!
