Tell us what brought you to Pearl and what skills you acquired in each of your previous roles that helped get you to your current role?
I came to Pearl because I love what the company stands for and the values they have for their clients and employees. The skills that I have picked up from my previous roles have helped me better understand what customer service is and how to truly be of service to each and every person I encounter daily. My goal is to be sure I help them to the best of my ability.
What are your career goals?
My future job aspirations are to continue working with Pearl and continue to move and grow with this company.
What has been the biggest lesson you have learned in your job?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned from my job is being patient, being empathetic, and understanding the needs of the customer. Every day is a new day with different scenarios and callers with various needs that I am here to help. The biggest thing for me is knowing that what I am doing is helping someone, no matter how small or big. That is the best thing I learned and also what I enjoy about my job.
What is your advice for someone who may be interested in pursuing a role in your current field?
My advice for someone that may be interested in pursuing a role in my current field is that every day is a learning experience, and the key is to remember that hard work and good customer service goes a long way. Understanding the needs of those you are helping makes their day better and to know you’re helping them is its own reward. Never give up, you got this! I tell myself that every day. Follow your dreams and passions because it does really pay off.
What is a Fun Fact that many of your coworkers may not know?
A couple of fun facts about me are I was married the day before my youngest daughter was born, so we celebrate our anniversary the day before her birthday. Another fun fact about me is I have a huge family. Between my husband and I we have 11 children.
Do you have a special talent or any hobbies?
My hobbies are cooking (I love to cook), spending time with my family, and watching old school movies with actresses such as Joan Crawford and Betty Davis, just to name two of my favorites.
