Current Job Title: Supervisor Novitas MAC
Tell us what brought you to Pearl and what skills did you picked up in each of your previous roles that helped get you to your current role? I joined the Pearl Interactive Network, Inc. family at the beginning of the pandemic, in May of 2020. I was hired as a supervisor to help launch the IRS project and supported that team for the entire 3-month contract. My management team recognized something in me and brought me back in that supervisor role for additional projects. I am Happy to say I have been with Pearl now for over 1 year.
I was in a customer service role for many years which I believe paved the way for me to be where I am now as a supervisor. One role that I previously held was as a lead for a DME (Durable Medical Equipment, like wheelchairs, glucose monitors hospital beds, and nebulizers, etc.) company which did patient-pay billing insurance which has been very helpful for my current role on the Novitas project.
What are your career goals? My next career goal is to become an Operations Manager. I want to spend more time learning and perfecting my current job as supervisor which I believe will help get me to that next step in my career.

What is your advice for someone that may be interested in pursuing a role in your current field? My biggest obstacle is that I get in my own way <smile> still working on it – My advice if you do this as well – Confront the negative self-talk, when those doubts creep in, tell that inner voice “Not today friend, not today!” Also remember why you want to reach a goal and that by doing what you are doing will pay off in the end.
What is a Fun Fact that many of your coworkers may not know? I speak Tagalog and another Filipino dialect. Or at least I try to, lol.
Do you have a special talent or any hobbies? I collect crystals and love all things reiki and energy healing.
