Current job title: Customer Service Representative II–Novitas
Tell us what brought you to Pearl and what skills did you picked up in each of your previous roles that helped get you to your current role? As of August 17th, I will have been with Pearl Interactive Network Inc. for 5 months. Before starting with Pearl, I was pregnant and looking for a job that would work with me and having a baby coming soon. The recruiter was very helpful and told me to take the offer and that they would work with me from there. Pearl also works well with military life, and this is very important for me and my family.
What are your career goals? I want to be able to help others in their journey while at Pearl. Being part of a military family brings with it frequent change, including where you live. To be able to keep this job after the military processed a “PCS” or Permanent Change of Station, for my family, it has been a blessing to not worry about finding yet another job. If I can share my experience with others, that would mean a lot to me.
What has been the biggest lesson you have learned or the biggest obstacle you have overcome in your job? I have learned it is true…you learn something new every day! Being in a new job can be a lot to take in, but if you stick with it you will improve and feel better about the job and the information you provide to the consumer.
What is your advice for someone that may be interested in pursuing a role in your current field? The best advice I can give is to take all the advice, teaching, notes, and coaching you can get! Never think you cannot do it because you can! Know there is always someone there to help you.
What is a Fun Fact that many of your coworkers may not know? I lived in Hawaii for 7 years, but I am terrified of big bodies of water.
Do you have a special talent or any hobbies? I love to dance! If I am having a bad day, I go make up a dance routine.
