This Volunteer Drive is set to reward those who already volunteer in their spare time and incentivize those who want to volunteer!
- Volunteer 1-4 hours (total) – Receive a $20 Gift Card.
- Volunteer 5-10 hours (total) – Receive a $20 Gift Card + Pearl Swag.
- Volunteer 10 or more hours (total) – Receive a $20 Gift Card, Pearl swag, and you will be entered into a raffle at $100 Gift Card
November also brought us the opportunity to express our gratitude to all service members on Veterans Day, thank you once again to all who have served or are actively serving. It is because of your sacrifice that our nation continues to remain a free land.
And now for December!
December brings us more birthdays for our Military Branches!
We have December 13, 1636, for the National Guard and December 20, 2019, for the Space Force.
In addition, December brings many mandatory days for our employees over at the CCO – but their spirits are keeping up with some Pajama Days, Games, and Snacks.
And Finally, December brings a few holidays and traditions we so love to celebrate:
- Hanukkah: 12/7 – 12/15
- Christmas: 12/25
- Kwanza: 12/26
With Hanukkah being celebrated in several ways with the traditional lighting of a candle each day on the Menorah. Christmas is typically celebrated with the exchanging of gifts and celebrating with prayer and Christmas dinners. Kwanza is celebrated with reciting sayings or writings of great African American thinkers, African drumming, and sharing a meal of African diaspora-inspired foods.
This season is primarily focused on giving back in ways that we all can, with our time, our resources, and funds if available. During this time, we can see many decorated houses, winter activities like ice skating, and plenty of hot chocolate.
We will be hosting some voluntary activities throughout the week from 12/18 – 12/22 in which we’ll be giving away a Holiday Sugar Wish from each activity! Participate and have your name entered for that Sugar Wish activity. You will have all week to participate in any number of these activities and we will announce winners on 12/28!
Please see more details about our activities below and don’t hesitate if you have any questions:
