Tell us what brought you to Pearl and what skills you acquired in each of your previous roles that helped get you to your current role?
Prior to joining Pearl Interactive Network, I worked in technical support and customer service assisting with billing inquiries, internet support, and helping troubleshoot customer issues. When I found out about Pearl, the company values and Merry’s mission spoke to me. Working for Pearl feels more like a family than a job and it’s a great environment to be in. Having worked previous customer service roles, I was able to apply my people skills, along with soft skills, to better understand how to connect with different backgrounds to my positions here at Pearl.There’s not one day that I don’t enjoy coming in, I really do enjoy helping people and I love my job! At the end of the day, I feel very satisfied with what I do. I would recommend working at Pearl to anyone who wants to grow, succeed and love your job at the same time. I’m team Pearl!
What are your career goals?
I want to keep growing in my career at Pearl Interactive Network Inc. and one day become a Supervisor.
What has been the biggest lesson you have learned in your job?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to listen and take the time, even if it’s short, to connect with your customers, as it has really allowed me to connect with people of different backgrounds.
What is your advice for someone who may be interested in pursuing a role in your current field?
The advice I would give to someone who wants to be a Provider Advocate is to allow yourself time and grace to learn all that you can and that no matter what, there will be somebody along the way to help you.
What is a Fun Fact that many of your coworkers may not know?
A fun fact about me would be I am an animal lover; I love just about any animal, except snakes.
