Tell us what brought you to Pearl and what skills you acquired in each of your previous roles that helped get you to your current role?
I had always dreamed of working from home. I found Pearl while working in the home health field during the pandemic. Many of my clients were moved into the nursing home which left no clients in my area, so I was trying to figure out what to do next.
I found Pearl and was beyond grateful that I did. I wish I would have found Pearl sooner. Home health and customer service require similar skill sets, so in all of my roles I have sharpened my listening and communication skills.
What are your career goals?
My goal is to learn all that I can and progress through the company.
What has been the biggest lesson you have learned in your job?
Always remember important relevant information while in trainings or even on calls.
What is your advice for someone who may be interested in pursuing a role in your current field?
Make sure you are strong in your communication, ask questions and patience is the key. The caller might say one thing but mean another or they might be upset but know that it is not at you so don’t take it personally. Take your time with them and try to calm them while answering their questions.
What is a Fun Fact that many of your coworkers may not know?
I love to travel. I have been all over. Walt Disney World is by far my favorite destination, but my favorite trip of all time was when I went to Las Vegas for my 9th birthday.
Do you have a special talent or any hobbies?
I have multiple hobbies: I love to paint, do puzzles and enjoy cooking/baking.
