Many celebrated the long Memorial Day weekend with barbecues and family get-togethers, but for Pearl’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jim Caldwell, Memorial Day is so much more than a chance to kick-off the summer months. Jim played a major part in this year’s Field of Heroes in Westerville, Ohio representing Pearl Interactive Network as a Presenting (“Primary”) Patron in the 14th annual Field of Heroes.
Jim, acting event Co-Chair, spoke at one of the ceremonies honoring local military heroes and provided general event assistance throughout the celebrated weekend. Prior to Memorial Day, the Westerville Sports Complex, which normally hosts sporting events, was converted into a “Field of Honor”, displaying 3,500 United States flags flying over its green landscape.
The event also held several weekend activities, including a Field of Heroes 5K Run/Walk race, with proceeds supporting the Westerville Veterans Memorial. The race included Pearl’s own Contracts Manager Cari Barker.
