Hello Pearl Team,
I wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend. However, while we are busy with BBQ’s and family gatherings, it can sometimes be easy to forget what Memorial Day means.
The true reason for the day signifies much more than a three-day weekend, good food, and great memories. The day gives us an opportunity to remember and appreciate the brave men and women who have given their lives to provide the freedom we all enjoy. Nobel Laureate and Holocaust Survivor, Elie Wiesel said: “Without memory, there is no culture. Without memory there would be no civilization, no future.” Over the next few days, I ask you to remember and to join me, wherever you may be, to give a moment of appreciation for the cost of our freedom, and to honor those who have laid down their lives so that we can remain free.
