Tell us what brought you to Pearl and what skills you acquired in each of your previous roles that helped get you to your current role?
Having transitioned from India to Belgium and now to the USA I have had the enriching experience of collaborating with people and immersing myself in a diverse culture and work environment, my 15 years of professional experience spans across the healthcare, insurance, and retail industries. I entered my current role as a claim’s technician well-equipped from day one. Paying meticulous attention to details and making sound decisions on claims are integral aspects of my job. Joining Pearl allowed me to seamlessly transition into a role that aligns with my skill set, and I am looking forward to taking on broader responsibilities and leadership roles.
What are your career goals?
My career goal is to pursue a path that allows me to lead a team of people, engaging and inspiring them to make a positive impact and contribute significantly to the growth of our organization.
What has been the biggest lesson you have learned in your job?
Attention to details, accuracy coupled with speed. In this position I have learned that every claim requires meticulous examination to ensure that decisions are made correctly and fairly. One small error or oversight can cause overpayment or underpayment to the client.
What is your advice for someone who may be interested in pursuing a role in your current field?
1) Learning agility – Quality (accuracy) is the important aspect of the job, make good notes, refer to them on a regular basis, keep track of recent updates, each claim is different and every day there are new things to learn.
2) Share knowledge – sharing knowledge with colleagues will help foster a more effective team.
What is a Fun Fact that many of your coworkers may not know?
I have undergone training in N.C.C (National Cadet Corps) it is the youth wing for the Indian Armed forces. I have represented the state (Maharashtra) at the Republic Day parade in New Delhi (India).

I love cooking and trying out new recipes.
