Cultural diversity is thus an asset that is indispensable for poverty reduction and the achievement of sustainable development.”
Fun Tips on Ways to Observe World Day for Cultural Diversity!
- Visit a cultural history museum. Museum trips can be fun and educational! Learn about different cultural history and their significance in the world.
- Travel to a historical site.
a. Travel to a historic site to experience another culture.
b. Post your experience on social media.
c. Share your experience with a friend or loved one.
3. Cook food from a different culture.
a. Celebrate! Try a different dish. Cooking traditional food from a different culture can be fun and a new learning experience. Try out recipes you’ve never heard of before and have a feast with your friends and family.
4. Ask a friend or associate to share something about their culture and/or heritage that they’re proud of. Perhaps something that inspires them.
5. Explore cultural literature or videos at libraries or online.

During the month of April, Pearl worked closely with the Central KY Career Centers, participating in “take home” events in the Paris and Irvine, KY areas, where job seekers learned about upcoming opportunities in Winchester.
