Current job title: Supervisor
Career path: I have been in various industries and in management and supervisory positions. I have been with Pearl for a year, starting 2/28. Each position that I previously had has contributed to my current success with Pearl. The biggest contribution to my success is patience and understanding, especially in this virtual environment, with the everyday tech problems that can occur. I also believe that insight is critical in understanding any role. I have worked in many entry level positions, which helped me understand what I would want from someone in a supervisory position. I try my best every day to meet or exceed what I would want from a supervisor, and I reach out for feedback in ways that I may improve. I have learned that being a supervisor or manager requires many traits to be successful, but most importantly humbleness and a willingness to improve every day.
Career goals: I wish to assist Pearl in anyway and contribute to the company’s success through my own effort, as well as assisting the overall collective effort of everyone.
Biggest lesson/obstacle: The biggest lesson I have learned so far has been that things can change quickly and being able to adapt to these changes depends on the person. However, as a group, working together cohesively, any objective can be accomplished, and any goal can be attained.
Advice: Do not get discouraged, if you ever feel like you have something you can\’t handle; reach out for help. We all have something to contribute to help each other grow as individuals, and we all have a part to contribute to the success of the group as a whole. We all just got to keep at it and never stop trying our best.
Fun fact: I am a food enthusiast and am passionate about trying new delicious foods.
Hobbies: I love collectible card games. I currently play a discontinued game, Dragon Ball Z, and have played it since the early 2000\’s. Various versions were released, but I played Score/Panini releases. I have also taught my oldest son (age 7) to play Pokémon cards, to encourage his reading, math, and problem solving/strategy skills.
