Hi Pearl Team,
Maintaining work-life balance in our fast-paced environment can be challenging, especially with your dedication to our mission. I know your days are often packed with hour-long meetings, leaving little time for focused work, which can lead to burnout.
To help, I am proposing a shift to 30-minute meetings across the company. Research shows that shorter meetings enhance focus, engagement, and preparation, while reducing the need for rescheduling.
Here is how we can make this work:
• Plan Ahead: Send a detailed agenda before the meeting so everyone knows what to prepare.
• Invite Only Key People: Include only those essential for the entire meeting. If someone’s input is brief, let them know they can leave early.
• Consider Alternatives: If it’s just for updates, an email or Teams message might be more efficient.
• Keep it Small: Limit meetings to five participants or fewer for maximum effectiveness.
• Focus on Action: Ensure each participant leaves with clear action items.
By implementing these changes, we can create more productive workdays and better work-life balance. Let’s make this shift together!
Best,
Mario
